At Fireweed Health Collective Inc., we believe that knowledge is most powerful when it is shared in a good way—through relationships, reciprocity, and respect. Our consulting services are rooted in Indigenous values and lived experiences, and we support communities, Nations, and organizations seeking to build or strengthen Indigenous-led wellness initiatives.

We offer consulting and knowledge-sharing services to advance decolonized models of care, grounded in cultural safety, trauma-informed practice, and the revitalization of land-based and relational approaches to health.

Our Areas of Work

  • Reclaiming Community-Based Birth & Indigenous Midwifery

    We support Nations and communities in returning birth to its rightful place—rooted in culture, ceremony, and community. Our work includes designing Indigenous midwifery-led care models, facilitating local program development, and providing mentorship that centres ancestral knowledge and family sovereignty.

  • Capacity Building for Indigenous Birthworkers & Aunties

    We offer hands-on training, mentorship, and long-term guidance to support local Aunties, birthworkers, and wellness providers in stepping into culturally grounded care roles. Our goal is to strengthen the community’s own workforce, people who understand the land, language, and life of the families they serve.

  • Decolonizing Health Systems & Program Design

    Through consultation and collaborative planning, we help Nations and organizations shift away from colonial models of care. We work to support the development of Indigenous-led health initiatives, improve cultural safety, and align systems with community-defined values and relational accountability.
