Midwifery Care at Fireweed Wellness Lodge
Our midwifery care is currently led by Registered Indigenous Midwife, Maddie Amyotte, who offers a limited scope of services focused on prenatal care, postpartum support, and sexual and reproductive health. At this time, Maddie is not guaranteed to be available for birth attendance, as we currently do not have additional midwifery staff to support on-call coverage in our region.

We ask all clients to please include where you are located within the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (RMWB) when reaching out. Maddie provides care in outlying communities and travel planning is essential to ensuring timely and accessible support.

While Fireweed Midwives, and Fireweed Wellness Lodge is Indigenous-led, midwifery care is open to all individuals and families seeking respectful, inclusive, and culturally grounded support
